The social worker from the agency took us to the foster family's home where Lily has been living for the last six months. She is the center of their world and it's obvious that she is very loved. We are so grateful as this will give her the tools she needs to develop a bond with us.
The foster mother informed us that she is a bit of a picky eater but we saw her go for a bowl of tomatoes and nibble on some orange.
Her foster brother and sister were there too and clearly are involved in her life. She is a tall girl for sure and moves around quickly. She is quite curious and very active. This will make for a very long and possibly interesting flight home.
On the ride back to the room, we saw some interesting sights. Carson will be thrilled to know that the great state of Texas is a part of Korean life. Also, a tire store got creative and stored their inventor
y on the outside of the building. See photos. There is still a lot of snow on the ground and we saw backhoes digging it up and loading it into dump trucks to haul away from main streets.We also got a chance to see the baby's reception home which is part of SWS. Babies live there until they are about 4 months old and are placed with a foster family. We were told that there are about 50 volunteers per day that
care for the approximately 80 children.Well, now we are off to eat lunch and do some shopping. We hope to have dinner tonight with our friend Young's cousin.
The big transfer takes place tomorrow at 1:30. More later...
